Can Frum Face the Fear?

NeoCon update: well, we certainly messed up big time so we’ll just have to blame our critics for not being able to clean up after us…you know, and keep talking tough if not for the red-states then for our own delusions….even if we can’t stop squirming in our seat.

ISN'T THE GLOBAL STRATEGY TO FIGHT THE WAR MORE AGGRESSIVELY, AND HAVE COURAGE TO SUPPORT THE ALLIES WE HAVE THERE? IT WILL BE A LONG, HARD SLOG, BUT WHAT MUST BE REALIZED IS THAT THE ALTERNATIVE TO LEAVING WOULD RESULT IN DISASTER.

I think Bacevich made the point that a focus on Afghanistan without a huge shift in global strategy is wrongheaded. A stronger military presence in that particular country, even if successful, will only chase the bad guys into Pakistan which can be even more disastrous.
